Important Notice

EPS9980 is now obsolete and is unsupported except for those customers in possession of a valid Software Maintenance Agreement which will, of course, continue to entitle the user to full operational support until the end of the agreement.

As a free service to all CES9985 users, the final released version and Service Pack is being made available without restriction.

A Software lock (dongle) is still required for full functionality.

The files in this section are arranged as installation disk images and have to be downloaded individually. Click on the disk required to download a zipped image of the disk and then unzip it and save it either to a floppy disk or to a folder on a hard drive. You may install it by double-clicking on the SETUP.EXE file in the disk image of Disk 1 if all disk images are organised in folders under a common folder with specific names "disk1" ... "disk5". Alternatively, copy the contents of all the disk images to the same directory. Please ensure that all other applications are closed before installation. If errors involving references to ISINST30 and/or OLE objects occur then you may need to halt all background tasks such as virus scanning and network drivers temporarily, even if they are in the system tray. If Active desktop is activated it should be disabled before installation. If problems still exist then reboot the PC into SAFE mode, install the software and then reboot normally afterwards.

Service Pack 5 | Service Pack 9

Manual (zipped Word document)

Download all disk images, including the Service Packs. Install Disks 1 to 5 normally then unzip Service Pack 5 followed by Service Pack 9 to your EPS9980 installation directory. Both service packs must overwrite existing files in your application directory. Service Pack 5 contains all previous service packs at this revision and must be installed before running Service Pack 9 as it contains reporting components not included with Service Pack 9.

Once the service packs have been installed, the following files must be copied:-

  • SCHGRAPH.exe to C:\Windows

  • SchAGPPS.DLL to C:\Windows\System

If this is not carried out, fatal errors will occur when attempting to view graphs and, possibly,  at other times.

Please note that only Advantest analysers may be used with EPS9980. No other manufacturer's instruments will operate. In addition, because certain Advantest analyser drivers were developed after this software's final release, you should check TN006 for additional Advantest analysers not included in these distribution disks and Service Packs and contact the Helpdesk quoting the EPS9980 Software Key code if the driver you require is available. Note that the provision of new drivers is dependant on a current, valid software maintenance agreement being in force.

Note PC specification:-
