NOTE 1:
To make a firmware update from a version V1.04 - V1.12 to a version above V1.13 you have to do the update to V1.13 FIRST!
For installation of the firmware is needed to copy the files nsg4070_V1.13.tar.gz and nsg4070_V1.29.upd (version number can be different) to the root folder of the USB stick (there should be only one file with extension *.gz). Put the USB stick in the NSG 4070 and do the update via INFO/Update twice.
NOTE 2:
With firmware version V1.11 the file structure of all NSG 4070 files has changed. To continue to use these files it is necessary to convert all existing files (on NSG 4070 and the PC) for configuration (*.cfg) and calibration (*.cal and * .mon) and all test result files (*.res). The conversion can be done with the program NSG407_Ctrl.exe
and is described in File_convertion_E.txt.
NOTE 3:
It is recommended to update firmware and software with the newest version in the offered combination. Other combinations might be instable and not tested in the factory.

WARNING:
When prompted to restart the device after a firmware update, you MUST confirm this message with the Enter button. Then WAIT another 20-30 seconds to be on the safe side before you switch the power off and on again.
With firmware version V1.18 we took steps to minimize the risk of file corruption. That is to say, that future firmware updates will be much less painful.
